ARAMASA SAKE BREWERY
Founded in 1852 in Akita City, Aramasa Sake Brewery is one of Japan’s most respected artisanal sake producers, renowned for merging deep tradition with uncompromising innovation and exemplary standards.
To this day with almost 175 years of sake brewing history, Aramasa remains a small family run brewery, led by the visionary eighth generation Yusuke Sato. Since the early 2000s Sato has been dedicated to developing Aramasa’s distinctive and expressive sake style, focused on pure rice brewing within a framework of Akita-grown rice, precious land and water resources, agriculture practice and community. This guiding philosophy of brewing in harmony with nature and microorganisms has made Aramasa a driving force in the current sake renaissance, setting a benchmark for modern generation sake producers in the world.
