The refreshing coolness that only mint can provide.
Takinoue, located in northern Hokkaido, is a town rich in nature and surrounded by mountains on all sides. The Rinnesha company, which has a branch there, makes sure that plants are grown without the use of pesticides, chemicals and harmful additives and they protect and continue to cultivate Akamaru mint, a Japanese variety native to Takinoue.
The Akamaru mint that Rinnesha grows has a natural refreshing taste. By adding birch leaves also from Hokkaido, the gin develops a rich, lingering aftertaste.
Because it is a shochu-based gin, it is recommended to mix the gin with hot water in winter, just as you would if drinking shochu. The natural aroma of the mint is enhanced by the temperature of the hot water. It is a popular drink to warm the body in the cold season.
