A Gin made from rare wild Bolivian Cacao beans.
For the 2024 production of this Gin, rare wild Cacao was sourced from the tropical rainforests of Bolivia by a former Chocolate craftsman Ozaki using fair trade practices. The wild beans are small in size and packed with fresh sweetness, bitterness and acidity. These flavours are brought out in a balanced way by the roasting process resulting in a sweet, earthy taste profile with great aromas.
This production used Tokyo island barley shochu as a base during distillation which enhanced the cocoa flavour and toasty aftertaste. A range of other spices and orange peel was added into the mix with juniper berries and chicory root.
Enjoy this Gin served on the rocks or as a negroni to experience all the full range of tastes as the ice melts.
