Praised for its simplistic and minimalistic approach to saké brewing, Shumare Honjozo which won the 2017 IWC Award, uses only the best saké rice – the “Yamada Nishiki” – with no other ingredients. This results in a clean and classic saké – characteristically light bodied and smooth with a crisp finish. Depending on the amount of aroma desired this saké can be enjoyed either warm or cold. With gentle warming, it takes on a dry with mellow flavour.
This saké is designed to be paired with a wide variety of cuisines to bring out the umami flavour of the ingredients.
