Brewed in the Aizu district of the Fukushima Province, this Junmai Ginjo is the creation of Hanaizumi Sake Brewery, whose hallmark is a commitment to the true meaning of “local sake”. Shimofuri Roman blends the crystal-clear water of Aizu’s Ina River with a sake yeast variety that was developed in Fukushima and three varieties of rice grown locally in the Aizu district. The result is a slightly cloudier sake that offers a more fragrant aroma and a more rounded flavour with a slightly stronger umami taste. The smooth taste makes this sake ideal as either an apéritif or a digestif.
This sake has been pasteurised once only and should be kept refrigerated.
