During fermentation in the tank, Okuyame tea from Yame City in Fukuoka and blood oranges from Nokonoshima island, were added together with the rice, koji and water. The blood orange juice and peel along with the black tea contributes to the soft orange colour and the refreshing fruity flavour with hint of bitterness on the aftertaste.
Both the Okuyame tea and oranges used in this production are sourced from farmers growing with pesticide free cultivation and measures to minimise harm to the ecosystem which is supported by Librom Sake Brewery and it’s production methods.
