Created in the Okayama prefecture using water from the Takahashi River Basin, this Junmai offers a complex harmony of sweet and sour. Sanzen Yamahai is made from Omachi rice and has the well-rounded taste, complex umami and long-lasting aftertaste inherent in the rice. The complex flavour of this saké is also due to the traditional method of preparation. Known as “Yamahai”, this method of brewing requires natural circulation, a long fermentation period and, of course, the skill of an exceptional brewmaster. One of the winners of the Saikou Kinsho Platinum Award, Sanzen Yamahai Junmai Omachi is best enjoyed warm.
