This luxurious Junmai Daiginjo is one of the high points of the Roman series and the brewers believe one sip encompasses 10000 flavours in this sake. Poured into a glass it is a sweet, luscious, richly flavoured sake with intense fruit flavours of melon, white peach and berries. It is unpasteurised and undiluted so delivers an alluring, full-flavoured, velvety drinking experience with vibrancy. You may detect some notes of super ripe tropical fruit and chestnut due to its unpasteurised (nama) state. Within a couple of days of opening the sake will mellow in flavour. Keep refrigerated.
This sake is made from locally grown Aizu rice and is a product of the brewery’s traditional four stage brewing technique using mochi / glutinous rice in the last fermentation addition, to increase the depth of flavour of the sake.
