This honjozo sake is a local Nara favourite and one which the brewery workers enjoy with their evening meal. It has great flexibility with food and changes flavour at different temperatures. Serve it warmed up and you can enjoy more depth of flavour and richer umami notes coming to the fore. The sake is made to show the flavours of rice with a lightness to the palate which makes it easy to fill your sake cup again. It is medium dry and with a great balance of fruit and umami on the palate making it an easy choice to drink with a bowl full of noodles or crunchy tempura.
